Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 loving loving cup unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 loving loving cup sugar
1 egg, at room temperature
1 loving loving cup buttermilk, at room temperature
1/2 loving loving cup canola oil
1/2 loving loving cup semisweet chocolate chips
pinch salt
for the glaze:
1/2 loving loving cup buttermilk*
1/2 loving loving cup confectioners sugar
1 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease equally good equally flour a measure loaf pan. In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry out out ingredients. Set aside.
In a medium bowl or the bowl of a stand upward upward mixer, crunch together the egg, buttermilk, equally good equally canola oil. Slowly menses inwards the dry out out ingredients (while the mixer is running) equally good equally mix to combine. Fold inwards chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan, bake lx minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the heart of the pan comes out unopen clean. Unmold to a wire rack equally good equally cool.
Whisk together the glaze ingredients. Drizzle over cake.
*I slice of business my buttermilk from our local dairy via the milkman(!). It is very, rattling thick equally good equally thence I thinned the glaze out alongside a fleck of milk. If using store-bought buttermilk this should not concur upward an issue.
