My thoughts:
I reckon a Thanksgiving leftover recipe would concord out the perfect vehicle to effort out new-to-me frozen soup mix vegetables. Normally when firing upwards the dull cooker, I chop all of the ingredients by times manus the nighttime before so they are pose upwards to run inward the morning. When picking upwards closed to frozen pearl onions (Aside: why are they ofttimes entirely available during the holidays? So frustrating. I stop upwards buying a year's render inward November because I don't bring the patience for peeling fresh.) I came across this "soup mix" that looked pretty good. I mean, okra? An inspired choice. I tossed them inward the cart. They've been inward the freezer e'er since.I know I've spent enough 4th dimension chopping as good as we're withal early inward the opor-garai flavour so what better 4th dimension to effort them out? All I had to exercise was chop the turkey as good as the garlic. The vegetables were a thrifty selection too; on sale for ii for $1.50. I didn't cost it out only that has to concord out cheaper than buying as good as chopping each of those ingredients individually, right? Which I appreciate because slice I e'er scream upwards of soup as beingness this super thrifty, inexpensive dinner only when I real cost out the ingredients as good as my labor, it isn't that inexpensive later on all. This recipe uses kamut (although I bet you lot lot could sub inward farro as good as bring neat results) so you lot lot don't betoken an extra grain to serve. I dear i pot cooking! The resulting soup was real hearty as good as satisfying as good as so flavorful!
